On the morning of Thursday, 5 March 2026 (14 Esfand 1404), the 12,000-capacity indoor hall of the Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran was struck and destroyed in an airstrike attributed to the United States and Israel. Iran's Minister of Sport visited the site immediately afterward and described the attack as a war crime under the Olympic Charter. Multiple Iranian sports federations issued condemnatory statements.

Airstrike near Shahid Kasayi Highway, Tabriz

On 14 Esfand 1404 (5 March 2026), an airstrike struck a military site adjacent to the southern edge of the Shahid Kasayi Highway in Tabriz. The blast wave from the strike severely injured civilian passersby on the highway.

External fuel tank released over residential area, Yazd city

An external fuel tank was jettisoned over a residential area in Yazd city. The fuel tank was released from a fighter jet flying overhead, damaging residential homes before being buried in the ground.

Airstrike on Residential Building, Zafaranieh District, Tabriz

On the morning of 20 Esfand 1404 (11 March 2026), an airstrike struck a residential apartment building in the Zafaranieh district of Tabriz, killing a father and his two young children and wounding the mother along with three other civilians. No military target has been identified at the strike location.

Drone Strike on Residential Building, Hafiziyeh Neighbourhood, Arak

In the early hours of 10 March 2026 (19 Esfand 1404), a drone strike struck a private residential building in the Hafiziyeh neighbourhood of Arak. The attack killed at least six members of one family residing in the building, including a 7-year-old boy and a top-performing female high school student, along with a schoolteacher and her family. A fifth member later died of wounds.

On 10 March 2026, two police facilities in Tabriz the Special Police Unit headquarters on Hafez Street and the Police Intelligence Department building in Nesf‑Rah were reportedly struck.

Missile strike on 'Abraar and Ahraar' Center in Mohammadabad city, Jarqaviyeh County

A missile released from a fighter jet shortly after 07:30 local time struck a civilian facility killing 4 elderly civilians who had gathered for their regular Quran recitals at the "Abraar and Ahraar" Center. Another 10 civilians were injured in this attack. CCTV footage recorded from nearby buildings show the moments before and after the missile landed on the civilian facility.

On 8 March 2026, US-Israeli strike near to Imam Ali Square in central Bushehr , wounding multiple civilians. At least one civilian, died from her injuries.

Airstrike on Shahran Oil Depot, Tehran

On the night of 7–8 March 2026 (16 Esfand 1404), Israeli warplanes struck the Shahran oil depot in northwest Tehran. At least 4 civilian workers — including two fuel tanker drivers — were killed. The resulting fires engulfed the depot for hours, spreading thick toxic smoke across the 10-million-person capital and causing oil to leak directly into residential streets. Human Rights Watch and Iranian environmental authorities described the attack as a potential war crime with long-term health consequences for millions of civilians.

Strike on MAPNA Desalination Plant, Qeshm Island

On the night of March 6–7, 2026, a US airstrike launched from the Jufair military base in Bahrain destroyed the MAPNA desalination plant on Qeshm Island, cutting off drinking water to approximately 25–30 villages. On the morning of Wednesday 13 Esfand 1404 (March 4, 2026), three missiles struck the civilian residential complex of Shahrak Shahid Boroujerdi in southeastern Tehran, collapsing apartment blocks and killing at least 20 residents. Eyewitnesses described bodies strewn across the compound. No military installation was present in the targeted area. The complex housed families including women and children.
