Strike on Hendijan Drainage Pumping Station, Mahshahr Road, Khuzestan

On the morning of Monday, 13 July 2026 (22 Tir 1405), the RMD drainage pumping station, located on the road between Mahshahr and Hendijan in Khuzestan Province was struck by US forces. Abbas Sadrianfar, CEO of the Khuzestan Water and Power Organization, confirmed the strike and stated that Shaker Mohaiseni, an employee of the Zohreh and Jarahi Irrigation Networks Operation Company, was killed in the attack, and a second employee of the same unit was injured and remains under medical care. Sadrianfar condemned the strike, stating that targeting service facilities, critical infrastructure, and the personnel who staff them around the clock is contrary to humanitarian principles and international law. He added that water-sector personnel would continue operations without interruption despite the attack.
