Strike on Payam Noor University Sports Hall, Kuhdasht

The Payam Noor University sports hall in Kuhdasht was struck by US-Israeli strikes on the evening of March 3, 2026, in Davoud Rashid village. The strike caused extensive destruction to the sports hall, with the force of the explosion and resulting rubble heavily damaging the facility.

Tasnim reported three deaths in the attack. Two of the victims were identified as Saman Khosravani, a university student, and Aziz Sheikhi, an employee of theUniversity. The identity of the third victim could not initially be established because of the severity of the injuries.

The same sports hall had reportedly been struck once before, on March 2, 2026, but that earlier attack caused no casualties. This profile concerns the second, fatal strike on March 2, not the earlier incident.
