Strike on Mobin Energy Petrochemical Complex

On April 6, 2026, Mobin Energy, located in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Asaluyeh, was among the facilities targeted in U.S.-Israeli strikes on the area's petrochemical infrastructure. The Iranian reports provided describe Mobin and Damavand as the companies supplying electricity, water, and oxygen to the petrochemical plants in Asaluyeh. According to Tasnim's report, the auxiliary facilities were targeted and the resulting disruption meant that the petrochemical plants in Asaluyeh would remain without electricity until the affected companies were restored.

The significance of the damage therefore extended beyond Mobin Energy itself. Because the facility supplied essential utilities to other petrochemical plants, damage to its infrastructure disrupted the operation of multiple facilities in the industrial complex. ICIS similarly reported that the strikes on Mobin and Damavand disrupted supplies of water, electricity, and oxygen and forced shutdowns or reduced operations at dependent petrochemical facilities in Asaluyeh.

An official/industry report carried by Petrochemiha also identifies Mobin Energy and Damavand Energy among the auxiliary facilities affected by the attack. The available reporting distinguishes these utility facilities from the main production facilities of the petrochemical complex.
