Strike on Bandar Abbas Railway Junction
17 Jul 2026
Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan
Incident type: Unknown
Perpetrator: USA
Stage 1 · Reported
Description
Hormozgan's provincial government announced that the railway junction west of Bandar Abbas was struck by the "American enemy," resulting in two people injured who were taken to medical centers. The junction is described as the point roughly 10 km west of Bandar Abbas where the rail line branches toward passenger and freight traffic, Shahid Rajaee port, and the main Bandar Abbas railway. The strike came in the same overnight wave as the Kahurestan and Girveh bridge strikes and a strike on the Allah-Akbar Hill residential neighborhood of Bandar Abbas (a separate incident — 1 killed, several wounded per that record, not to be conflated with this one). Baztab additionally reported updated, still-unofficial casualty figures for the earlier Kahurestan bridge strike (1 killed, several wounded), noting a final tally had not yet been officially released — relevant to reconciling the casualty-count discrepancy flagged in that record.
