Missile Strikes Near Shahid Baghaei Cancer Hospital, Ahvaz

Hossein Kermanpour, head of the Health Ministry's public relations and information center, announced that areas adjacent to Ahvaz's Shahid Baghaei 2 Hospital — a facility dedicated to cancer patients — were struck by missiles. He said some patients and companions left the hospital due to the intensity of the blast sound and shaking, and that only patients in serious condition remained on-site. Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, which operates the specialized hematology-oncology center, stated that following the strikes and explosions in areas surrounding the hospital, the facility was temporarily taken out of service to protect patient and staff safety, and confirmed that all patients were transferred to other Ahvaz hospitals under full safety protocol with no harm to any patient.
