Missile attack on area adjacent to Farabi Hospital, Kermanshah

At approximately 09:00 on the morning of 26 Khordad 1404, following an Israeli missile strike on a workshop district in the city of Kermanshah, Farabi Hospital was seriously damaged in multiple sections. Much of the hospital's equipment was damaged and windows shattered, injuring patients hospitalized in those wards. In particular, the Mega ICU ward of Farabi Hospital sustained serious damage, and structural damage to the building was also reported. Rescue and relief teams were immediately dispatched to the location. This missile attack on 26 Khordad 1404 caused serious damage to the hospital and surrounding buildings. Farabi Hospital is a major public hospital serving the population of Kermanshah Province and operates a large Intensive Care Unit. The broader context: on the same day, field observations indicated a truck showroom in Diesel Abad, Kermanshah was also targeted, in which at least one civilian was wounded. The previous day, an Israeli strike hit a horse stables in the Olympic Village district of Kermanshah. Separately, one of the Israeli missiles struck the northern outskirts of Kermanshah city and landed 3 kilometers from the historic Taq Bostan complex, a UNESCO-recognized archaeological site. The IRNA report for the initial phase of the war (Day 1, 23 Khordad) noted that civilian welfare buildings (Behzisti) and the Arba'een Headquarters building in the Khosravi border area of Kermanshah were struck, killing one and wounding 24, the victim being a civilian Social Welfare employee. No prior warning was issued at any point.
