External fuel tank released over residential area, Yazd city

Local authorities initially reported that an unidentified projectile had landed on a residential house near Khatami Square in Yazd city.¹ Emergency and assessment teams were dispatched to the scene. Officials stated that the projectile did not cause casualties or significant damage, and the area was secured while safety evaluations were conducted. It was later reported by a local news agency that the projectile was subsequently identified as a fuel tank that had apparently been released from a fighter jet that flew over Yazd city on 14 March.³
