Description
On the evening of Sunday, 22 June 2025 (2 Tir 1404), the eleventh day of the Twelve-Day War, an Israeli drone strike hit a civilian ambulance travelling along Shariati Street in the city of Najafabad, Isfahan Province. The ambulance was in active service, transporting a patient toward Shahid Montazeri Hospital when it was struck. According to Hamidreza Mohammadi Fesharaki, the Governor of Najafabad County, who made a public statement to reporters, the drone strike caused severe damage to the ambulance and killed all three occupants: the ambulance driver, the patient being transported, and the patient's companion. As a direct result of the drone impact, the stricken ambulance lost control, veered off the road, and collided with a civilian vehicle that was passing by at the time. Authorities described the attack as an inhumane act targeting a clearly marked emergency medical service. No Israeli military statement acknowledged or claimed this specific strike.
