Attack on Phase 14 of South Pars, Bushehr

Iran’s Oil Ministry announced that the South Pars gas field’s Phase 14 platform was attacked. The attack caused a massive fire that halted production of at least 12 million cubic meters of gas. South Pars is the world’s largest gas field, supplying more than 70 percent of Iran’s gas production. Phase 14 is one of its major production units. The halt of 12 million cubic meters of daily production had a direct impact on Iran’s domestic and industrial gas supplies, as well as gas export revenues.
