Airstrike on Residential Building, Zafaranieh District, Tabriz

On the morning of 20 Esfand 1404 (11 March 2026), an airstrike struck a residential building in the Zafaranieh district of Tabriz. Three civilians were killed and four others were wounded, with one female casualty reported to be in critical condition. Tasnimnews

The Director General of Crisis Management of East Azerbaijan Province confirmed the identities of those killed: Mahan and Mahour, along with their father Habib, were killed in the strike. Mahan Alizadeh was a student in eighth grade at Arsam School, District 4 of Tabriz. SNN His sibling Mahour was also killed in the same strike. The children's mother survived with injuries.
