Their story
Reza Barani, a second-grade student and the third child in his family, was killed in an attack in Minab. “They recognized him from the sports shorts I had dressed him in that morning, and from his socks and the shape of his feet. My child had straight hair. The lower part of his face was injured. He still had his hands and feet, but his body was torn apart. I never truly saw my child after his death," said His mother. Reza was a taekwondo practitioner and loved sports. He held a green belt.
His father said, “His face was mostly unharmed, with a bruise on his left cheek. The children in Reza’s class were inside the classroom; their class was next to the prayer room. It took me eight hours to find him. The hardest moment for me was when I saw his backpack soaked in blood at school. His fresh blood was still on it. When I held the bag, I could feel the warmth of his blood.”
