Mohammad-Mehdi Jangichi

Their story

Mohammad-Mehdi Jangichi, a 10-year-old student at **Shajareh Tayyebeh** School in Minab, was killed in the US attack on the school. On the morning of the attack, the school contacted Mohammad-Mehdi's family to tell them to come and pick him up because of the start of the war. His father was about to head to work, and his mother was preparing to go to the school to collect him. Only three or four minutes later, the explosion occurred.

One of his father's friends called him to report that the school had been attacked. After receiving the call, his parents rushed to a street near the school, but due to the heavy crowds, they had to walk the rest of the way. Upon arrival, they saw that the school had been reduced to rubble. Much later, Mohammad-Mehdi's father realized that at the moment of the explosion, his son had been in the school courtyard, where the blast wave had violently thrown him and his friends against a wall. His damaged body was later found in the second cold storage facility. His legs had been severed, but his face remained intact.
