Mahmoud Gholamiani

Their story

Mahmoud Gholamiani, born on May 28, 1990, was single. He held an associate degree in accounting. He was interested in stock market trading and, alongside that, worked with his old Pride car to make a living. He was the eldest child in his family; he had two sisters and one brother. His mother told the Iranian media outlet “Avash” that Mahmoud loved children. He was very fond of his nieces and nephews and, for years, had a habit of providing notebooks, pencils, and school supplies for the city’s poor children. On the day of the attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, Mahmoud had gone to the school to accompany the father of one of the students. When he arrived at the scene and was confronted with the explosion and chaos, he decided to stay. In the interval between the first and second missile strikes, Mahmoud entered the school grounds. He pulled one of the preschool children out from the rubble and chaos and put the child in his car, but he returned to the school again to save more children. At 11:19 AM, the second missile struck, and Mahmoud Gholamiani was killed alongside the children and the school staff
