Elnaz Karimi

Their story

According to reports by Iranian media, Elnaz Karimi was killed during the attack on the Seyyed Jouzar environmental outpost in Hajiabad, Hormozgan, along with her husband, Mehrshad Hassanzadeh, and her brother-in-law, Mahdi Hassanzadeh. Mehrshad and Mahdi were the children of ranger Hassanzadeh, who had brought their television from their home in Hajiabad (located in the north of Hormozgan province) to the enviromental outpost since the beginning of the World Cup. Ranger Hassanzadeh had gone to the hospital to accompany his sick wife, and this saved his life. At 2:20 AM, this enviromental outpost was attacked. The bodies of Mr. Hassanzadeh's two sons were less damaged, but the body of the family's daughter-in-law was identified with difficulty.
