Their story
The Arab Mokhtari family were nomads from the Nasrabad region, and eight of their members were killed during the U.S. attack on the Mahyar region in Isfahan. Local witnesses told the media that on the night of the incident, U.S. helicopters and drones were shooting at anyone they saw, and Alireza Arab Mokhtari and his family members were also killed in this attack. Only one son, Mohammad Reza, survived from his family. He recounted that on the day of the incident, he and one of his brothers were herding sheep in the Parzan area of Mahyar when they were targeted by gunfire from U.S. forces. In this shooting, his brother was wounded, and at the same time, his parents, brothers, maternal uncle, and maternal aunt—who had driven from Nasrabad to visit them—were attacked and killed by U.S. gunfire. In total, eight members of the Arab Mokhtari family were killed in this attack.
