Najmeh Karimi Qoltaki: A Mother Who Was Killed with Her Child in Her Womb

Najmeh was a young and passionate woman who was only a few weeks away from giving birth to her third child. She also had two children, aged ten and thirteen. They were killed in the Israeli attack on Iran.

Like any mother, Najmeh had gone to the market in the days before her child’s birth and had bought beautiful little clothes for the baby. Najma’s other children, along with their mother, must have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new member of the family.

But all these dreams were shattered in an instant by a bombing. Najmeh’s two children, aged ten and thirteen, along with the unborn child she carried, were all killed. The laughter and voices of the children no longer echo through Najmeh’s home, and the newly bought little clothes remain unworn, folded in silence.
