Fatemeh Sharifi was a seventh-grade student — a kind-hearted girl whom her classmates remember for her warmth and laughter. She was a loving sister to her younger brother, who also lost his life alongside her. They were simply traveling with their family, driving from Najafabad to Esfahan, when the missile strike claimed them both.

Fatemeh was full of life — the kind of student who made her classmates laugh during lessons. Just seven days before her unjust death, she had invited her friends to her birthday party. Like all young girls, she had dreams — she imagined the home she would have one day, and a future full of promise.

Now, her friend Reyhaneh remembers her through small things: the snacks Fatemeh once shared with her, and a ring Fatemeh gave her as a gift. That ring, still worn on Reyhaneh’s hand, remains a silent memory — a symbol of a friendship at the very start of youth, taken too soon, never to return.
