Masoud Arab Mokhtari

Their story

Masoud Arab Mokhtari was a farmer who reported the presence of U.S. military aircraft and forces in Dasht-e Porzan, south of Isfahan, to security forces after hearing the first signs. During this operation, which took place on April 5, 2026, a total of 10 nomads from the region were killed. According to the accounts of witnesses and nomads in this region, the operation began at midnight on April 5, 2026, and continued until seven in the morning. The sound of fighter jets could be heard by the nomads in the region from midnight, but due to the darkness of the night and the distance, they did not have much information.

This region is located 70 kilometers south of Isfahan, near the Isfahan-Shiraz freeway, and is known as "Dasht-e Parzan." It is about 15 kilometers from the nomadic city of Nasrabad and is located near an abandoned airport. During the warm season, the majority of the nomads in this area were in the Band-e Arabha region. In those same days, a number of them were engaged in farming and animal husbandry at the agricultural wells in this area.

Around one in the morning, two witnesses to this incident noticed that the power at the livestock farm where they worked had been cut off, which was due to the targeting of the Mahyar village electrical department, causing the power to the region's wells to be cut off as well. They could hear the sounds of fighter jets and helicopters, but because of the darkness and the distance from the abandoned airport, they did not know any other details. These two nomads reported the incident to the local law enforcement officers. In total, 10 nomads from this region were killed during the attacks carried out by the American military forces that night.
