Mohammad Amin Soltani: A 24-year-old man who dreamed of living in a lush cottage.

Mohammad Amin Soltani was a handsome young man, born twenty-four years ago in the lush village of Sang Bijar. He grew up embraced by nature, known for his politeness and calm demeanor. After the loss of his mother, he became the sole support for his father and ten-year-old sister.

He completed his mandatory military training in the Navy and was stationed in Bandar Abbas, traveling from the Caspian Sea to the Persian Gulf. It was there, during the Israeli attack on Iran, that he was killed. Mohammad Amin only wanted to finish his compulsory service and return to his northern village to care for his little sister — but the missiles didn’t give him that chance.

Suffering from burns over 80% of his body, he fought for his life for a few painful days before passing away. When his lifeless body returned to Rezvanshahr, there was no mother waiting to greet her son. So it was the women of the town — young and old — who gathered to welcome him home. His coffin was carried on the shoulders of sisters and mothers who knew that grief intimately.
