A scientist on the edge of advanced global science

Majid Tajan Jari, born in 1990 in the village of Tajan Jar, Amol County, was more than a gifted mind, he was one of the leading figures of Iran’s artificial intelligence (AI) movement. A recipient of multiple international invention awards, including gold medals from Geneva, Guangzhou, and Nuremberg, he held over a dozen patents in AI, robotics, and smart systems. From designing mind-controlled electronic systems to developing video-assist technologies for sports refereeing, his innovations bridged science and society alike.

As Chairman of the AI Commission at Iran’s Youth Chamber of Industry and CEO of ioLearn, a pioneering educational platform, he nurtured countless young talents to equip a new generation of coders and engineers to shape Iran’s digital future. He was not only a master of machines, but a mentor of minds, deeply respected, deeply loved.

Dr. Tajan Jari was not merely an expert in software and computer science; he was a beacon of inspiration. His students did not just acquire technical skills—they inherited his boundless curiosity, his drive for innovation, and his profound belief in the transformative power of knowledge.

On June 12, 2025, Majid Tajan Jari was killed in an Israeli missile attack on Tehran, a city under siege. With his death, Iran lost not just a scientific pioneer, but a visionary whose legacy will endure in every student he inspired and every system he built.
