    We Left Everything Behind in Ahvaz

    The sound of drones started around 3 AM. My daughter was sleeping beside me. Ten minutes later, we heard the first strike – it felt like the sky had fallen.
    Our neighborhood in eastern Ahvaz was hit twice. We ran without taking anything — no ID, no money, just clothes on our backs. We haven’t returned since. My brother is missing, and our house is gone.
    I don’t know where we’ll go next. But I know one thing: no one deserves this.
